WUSTL as they are called by their short name, are ready to come to the 2015 TMS College Table Tennis Championships; and just because they are a new school and team to the championships doesn’t mean they are at all timid!

Coach and fellow Men’s Singles player, Jasper Maniates-Selvin in the competition, states, “We expect to be challenged! We are a very young team looking to keep improving, so traveling to Nationals and being around some of the best college players in the country is an excellent way for us to keep learning about what we need to do to be competitive.”

Maniates-Selvin took over the club three years ago and he was determined to make it a competitive team. Just as luck would have it in his senior year, he has made it to the big game along with his equally determined and passionate women’s team. “We're new to the national-level competition scene, and we improve quickly. We have some of St. Louis' best players come to practice with us, so we'll keep getting better as time goes on”.

The WUSTL Women’s team are all first year students, but interestingly enough they all come from Table Tennis backgrounds in other areas (Peru, Iran, etc.). Check out WUSTL at their website: http://tabletennis.wustl.edu/

At NCTTA, we love to see teams like this be created, and stay together, and compete at the highest level!
